The board of directors of Next Digital, the publisher of Hong Kong's Apple Daily, says it has resigned and calls for the liquidation of the company  —  Next Digital, which has published criticism of China for decades, said a crackdown had left it with no way to operate.  Its main newspaper, Apple Daily, closed in June.
